Mission of the Avengers Booster Club
THE AVENGERS BOOSTER CLUB MISSION
The Avengers Booster Club will support the activities and efforts of East Greenwich High School student-athletes through increased and enhanced community involvement, fundraising activities, and recognition of both team and individual achievement.
Money raised by the Avengers Booster Club is used in a variety of ways:
*Sponsorship of the three-season Sports Award Ceremony, where all students receive Avengers Booster Club funded Varsity Letters and Pins
*Senior Student Athlete Banquet, where all senior athletes attend, courtesy of the Avengers Booster Club and receive a commemorative plaque highlighting their athletic career (compliments of The Avengers Booster Club)
*$6,000 in student athlete scholarships awarded to graduating seniors
*Additional items that have been purchased or supported in the past few years:
Team grants for requested items by coaches; purchase and maintenance of two golf carts, building and maintenance of trophy display cases, financial assistance for coaching clinics, contributed to baseball dugouts construction, all championship banners that hang in both EGHS gymnasiums; softball and field hockey ball machine and generator, basketball machine, volleyball carts, HUDL video analysis software and yearly subscriptions for football, volleyball and basketball, 3-season team senior nights, donated to construction of athletic fields and concession stands; team equipment bags; signage and appearance of the foyer, gymnasiums and outdoor spaces, including painting; outdoor equipment storage sheds and landscaping prep/base for sheds; softball sliding pads, tennis practice equipment, black trash cans for EGHS athletic fields; $3,000 contribution to repair and refurbish the EGHS sign on Avenger Drive, installation of motion-activated video equipment for use by all teams that use the indoor gymnasiums, pop-up tennis targets; antennae’s for volleyball game net, portable sock nets for softball, custom "Avengers"oversized, multi-use Avengers tablecloth; custom "EG" extra-large spirit flag, $2500 toward purchase of Dactronics basketball shot clocks: a new indoor speaker system for the basketball/volleyball court; outdoor track throwing cage reconstruction; assistance to softball for dugouts and scoreboards, assistance to the purchase of a new infield on the Varsity Baseball field, new indoor sound system for the gymnasium, new generator for all sports and so many more items and initiatives to mention.
OUR VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORTERS MAKE ALL OF THIS POSSIBLE! Concession sales, membership, apparel sales, brick sales and additional donations are the foundation of our organization and enable us to support all student-athletes and athletics at EGHS.
